Role Summary
UltreonAI is an AI Design Studio, at the forefront of designing and deploying custom Agentic AI solutions specifically tailored to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of Singaporean SMEs. Our mission is to move businesses beyond traditional systems by implementing smart, context-aware AI agents.
This role offers a unique opportunity to be a foundational part of this mission. The Frontend Developer will play a critical role in designing and building the user interfaces that bring our AI solutions to life. You will be responsible for the complete frontend experience-from UI/UX design decisions to production-ready implementation-creating intuitive dashboards, chat interfaces, and admin panels that allow SME clients to interact with our custom AI agents seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary focus will be on designing and building polished, user-friendly interfaces for our AI-powered client applications.
- UI/UX Design & Implementation: Take client requirements and wireframes and translate them into polished, production-ready interfaces. You own the design decisions-component layout, user flows, visual hierarchy, and interaction patterns.
- AI Interface Development: Build chat interfaces with streaming LLM responses, real-time data updates, and context-aware UI elements that respond to AI agent states.
- Dashboard & Admin Panels: Create data-rich dashboards for analytics, configuration interfaces for AI agent settings, and admin panels for client management and monitoring.
- Responsive Design: Ensure all interfaces work seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, maintaining consistent user experience.
- API Integration: Consume RESTful APIs built by our Backend Engineers, handle authentication flows, and manage application state across complex user interactions.
- Component Architecture: Build reusable, maintainable component libraries using modern React patterns, ensuring consistency across client projects.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
Required Technical Competencies
- TypeScript: Strong proficiency in TypeScript for type-safe frontend development. Comfortable with interfaces, generics, and typing complex props and state.
- Next.js: Deep understanding of Next.js App Router, including Server Components vs Client Components, data fetching patterns, routing, and middleware. Experience building production applications with Next.js.
- React: Solid command of modern React - hooks (useState, useEffect, useContext, custom hooks), component composition, state management, and performance optimization patterns.
- API Consumption: Experience consuming RESTful APIs, handling JSON responses, managing loading/error states, and implementing proper error handling for network requests.
- Authentication & Authorization: Building UIs that handle authentication states (logged in/out), role-based UI rendering, protected routes, and session management.
- Production Development: Experience shipping production-ready UIs-not just prototypes. You understand edge cases, loading states, error boundaries, and accessibility considerations.
- Styling: Proficiency with Tailwind CSS or shadcn/ui component library for building modern, consistent interfaces rapidly.
Platform & Deployment
- Vercel: Hands-on experience deploying Next.js applications on Vercel, understanding build pipelines, preview deployments, environment variables, and production optimization.
- Git Workflow: Proficient with Git/GitHub for version control, branching strategies, and collaborating through pull requests.
AI-Specific UI Patterns
- Streaming Responses: Building chat interfaces that handle streaming LLM responses with proper buffering and real-time text updates.
- Context-Aware UI: Creating interfaces that adapt based on AI agent states-loading indicators during inference, displaying retrieved context in RAG systems, and showing confidence scores or citations.
- Real-Time Updates: Implementing WebSocket or SSE connections for live data updates in dashboards and monitoring interfaces.
Good to Have
- Performance Optimization: Understanding of React performance patterns-memoization, lazy loading, code splitting, and optimizing bundle sizes.
- Cloudflare Concepts: Awareness of edge caching, CDN behavior, and header management for optimized content delivery.
- Design Tools: Familiarity with Figma or similar design tools for translating mockups to code.
- Animation Libraries: Experience with Framer Motion or similar for creating polished micro-interactions.
Education & Background
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Design, or a related technical field.

Application Details
- Work Arrangement: This is a full/part time hybrid working position with flexible working hours. Occasional in-person collaboration in Singapore as needed for key project milestones.
- Probation Period: 6-month probation period to ensure mutual fit and alignment.
- Team Structure: You'll work in project-based teams rather than siloed departments, collaborating closely with Backend Developers, Data Engineers, and AI Engineers.
