Our client is looking for a AI & Data Science Lead to drive both the hands-on development of AI solutions and the strategic roadmap for AI adoption across the enterprise. This is a high-impact hybrid role in the manufacturing industry, requiring deep technical expertise in AI/ML (especially in Generative and Agentic AI) along with strong business acumen to shape the organization's AI direction. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between engineering execution and long-term strategy, working across departments to deliver impactful, production-grade AI systems aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise AI Enablement
- Design, build, and deploy scalable AI/ML models, including Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions.
- Lead the development of production-ready ML pipelines and AI infrastructure (MLOps).
- Work closely with stakeholders to integrate AI into business workflows.
- Build dashboards to track model accuracy, latency, cost and version performance.
- Implement and maintain best practices in AI development, including model governance, risk, and compliance.
AI Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and own the AI strategy and roadmap in alignment with business priorities.
- Identify opportunities to integrate AI into business operations and develop proof-of-concepts that evolve into scalable solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and partnerships for accelerating AI capabilities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on AI trends, innovations, and ROI.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimally 7 years of experience in AI/ML, MLOps, Data Science or Applied AI.
- Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, RAG, and prompt engineering.
- Proficient in Python, SQL, and modern AI/ML frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and building ML pipelines with CI/CD.
- Strong project leadership and ability to drive initiatives from concept to delivery.
- Familiarity with AI governance, ethical AI practices, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in building and executing AI/tech roadmaps is a strong plus.
- Passionate about continuous learning and staying current with AI advancements.
