AI & Automation Specialist

Introduction

Ask & Embla and Ambi are two fast-growing alternative jewelry brands, and we're looking for an AI & Automation Specialist to build the backend infrastructure that powers how we work. You'll own the design and implementation of AI-powered workflows and automation systems across both brands - touching operations, logistics, finance, and beyond. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who wants to build something that actually matters, with the commitment to excellence to do it right.

What You'll Do

• Identify inefficiencies across business functions and translate them into automation and AI solutions
• Design, build, and maintain backend automations and AI-powered systems that integrate with our existing tools and platforms
• Own the full build cycle - scoping, prototyping, deployment, and maintenance
• Evaluate and implement AI tools, APIs, and platforms relevant to our needs across both brands
• Manage multiple automation projects simultaneously, keeping timelines and priorities clear
• Build internal documentation so the team can confidently use and maintain what you build
• Stay on top of emerging AI infrastructure and bring a clear point of view on what we should adopt and when

Who You Are

• 3+ years of hands-on experience building automation systems and AI-powered workflows
• Identify inefficiencies across business functions and translate them into automation and AI solutions
• Design, build, and maintain backend automations and AI-powered systems that integrate with our existing tools and platforms
• Own the full build cycle - scoping, prototyping, deployment, and maintenance
• Evaluate and implement AI tools, APIs, and platforms relevant to our needs across both brands
• Manage multiple automation projects simultaneously, keeping timelines and priorities clear
• Build internal documentation so the team can confidently use and maintain what you build
• Stay on top of emerging AI infrastructure and bring a clear point of view on what we should adopt and when
• Work autonomously in a lean, fast-moving team with minimal hand-holding, preferred
• Have hands-on experience within Lark Suite - Lark Base, Lark Docs, and workflow automation, preferred
• Work within a DTC or ecommerce environment, preferred
• Navigate and build within the Shopify ecosystem, preferred
