Job Summary
We are seeking an AI Quantitative Agent Intern to support the design, development, and iteration of AI-powered modular agent capabilities (skills) for financial and quantitative systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop modular agent components to process financial data, support trading workflows, and monitor risk effectively
- Create reusable components to enhance AI-driven decision support systems
- Prototype rapidly and iterate using AI-assisted development tools to improve system functionality
- Test and evaluate tool-calling performance for large language models (e.g., Qwen, MiniMax) to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Improve model accuracy for interpreting structured instructions and automating workflows
- Design prompts, orchestrate logic, and conduct basic system testing to optimize AI agent performance
- Integrate AI-generated components into existing financial and quantitative systems
- Support backtesting, simulations, and performance testing to validate system reliability
- Monitor system performance continuously and identify improvement opportunities
Required competencies and certifications
- Basic proficiency in Python programming with the ability to learn from AI-generated code
- Understanding of large language model (LLM) concepts, including prompting and agent workflows
- Interest in AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf) and quantitative systems
- Ability to learn quickly and contribute effectively to prototype development
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience with Python projects, data analysis, or automation workflows
- Familiarity with APIs, basic machine learning concepts, or scripting languages
- Interest in LLM applications, agent systems, or local model deployment
- Curiosity about financial systems and data-driven decision-making processes
