Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated AI Agent & Automation Intern/Associate to join our AI and Automation Digital Transformation team within Audit/Tax Department. This role will support the design, deployment, and optimization of AI-driven and automation solutions that enhance audit quality, efficiency, and consistency. The ideal candidate is curious about emerging technologies, comfortable working with audit teams, and eager to apply AI and Automation to modernize audit workflows.
Key Responsibilities
AI & Automation Solution Support
- Assist in identifying, designing, and implementing AI agents and automation workflows to streamline audit processes (e.g., document extraction, testing, sampling, reconciliation).
- Support configuration and rollout of Microsoft Copilot (M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio) for audit use cases such as drafting workpapers, summarizing documentation, and generating insights from audit evidence.
- Support the deployment for automated evidence extraction, cross-referencing, and audit documentation within Excel-based workpapers.
- Help build, test, and refine low-code/no-code automation workflows (e.g., Power Automate, Power Apps) to reduce manual, repetitive audit tasks.
Digital Transformation Initiatives
- Collaborate with audit engagement teams to identify pain points and manual processes suitable for automation or AI-enablement.
- Assist in piloting new AI tools/agents on live or simulated audit engagements, gathering feedback and iterating on solution design.
- Support development of process maps, workflow documentation, and training materials for new digital tools.
- Contribute to building a repository of reusable automation scripts, prompts, and templates for audit teams.
Data & Quality Support
- Perform testing and quality assurance on automation outputs to ensure accuracy, reliability, and audit-trail integrity.
- Support data preparation and structuring activities required for AI agent training or automation workflows.
- Monitor and troubleshoot automation/agent performance, escalating issues as needed.
Change Management & Enablement
- Assist in developing training sessions, user guides, and FAQs to drive adoption of AI/automation tools across audit teams.
- Gather user feedback to inform continuous improvement of tools and workflows.
- Stay current on emerging AI/automation trends relevant to audit and assurance (e.g., agentic AI, GenAI in audit).
AI Capabilities & Enablement
- Apply generative AI (GenAI) and large language model (LLM) capabilities to audit tasks such as summarizing documentation, drafting workpaper narratives, and extracting key risk indicators.
- Support the design and configuration of AI agents (e.g., using Copilot Studio or similar agent-building platforms) to automate multi-step audit tasks such as evidence gathering, exception flagging, and reconciliation.
- Develop and refine prompt engineering techniques to improve the accuracy and usefulness of AI-generated outputs for audit-specific use cases.
- Assist in evaluating AI model outputs for accuracy, bias, and reliability, applying human-in-the-loop review consistent with audit quality standards.
- Explore applications of machine learning / predictive analytics for risk-based audit sampling, anomaly detection, and trend analysis.
- Support responsible AI adoption by helping ensure tools are used in line with data privacy, confidentiality, and firm AI governance policies.
