Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Agile Lead to drive delivery excellence, scaled agile execution, and continuous improvement across teams within APEX. This role blends strong backlog ownership, SAFe execution, AI‑augmented leadership, and adaptive coaching to enable high‑performing, resilient teams aligned to strategic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own, manage, and refine team backlogs to ensure clarity, readiness, and value-driven prioritization
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to translate business objectives into actionable, well-defined work items
- Proactively identify, track, and escalate delivery risks, dependencies, and blockers to relevant stakeholders
- Ensure predictable delivery through effective sprint planning, execution, and flow management
- Support the implementation, adoption, and ongoing operation of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Actively participate in and facilitate scaled ceremonies such as PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt, and ART syncs
- Coordinate delivery across multiple teams to manage dependencies, alignment, and shared outcomes
- Reinforce SAFe principles, roles, and best practices across the Agile Release Train (ART)
- Leverage AI Agile Agents and analytics tools to monitor team health, velocity, flow efficiency, and delivery trends
- Surface early signals of delivery risk, capacity constraints, or systemic bottlenecks
- Enable data‑informed decision-making to support scalable agility and operational excellence across APEX
- Champion innovative use of AI to enhance transparency, predictability, and team effectiveness
- Facilitate strong, open communication within and across delivery teams
- Ensure alignment between product, engineering, design, and business stakeholders on priorities and outcomes
- Act as a trusted advisor and connector, resolving misunderstandings and fostering collaboration at scale
- Support stakeholder engagement with clear status, insights, and evidence-based progress reporting
- Facilitate effective retrospectives and follow-through on improvement actions
- Coach teams and leaders to improve agile maturity, self-organization, and ownership
- Foster a culture of learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement
- Adapt leadership approach to team context while remaining aligned with APEX's strategic goals and values
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Agile delivery roles (Agile Lead, Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, or similar)
- Strong hands-on experience working within SAFe or other scaled agile frameworks
- Proven ability to manage backlogs, delivery flow, and cross-team dependencies
- Experience using agile metrics, dashboards, and AI- or data-enabled insights to drive outcomes
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong command of Agile principles, Lean thinking, and continuous improvement practices
Preferred Qualifications
- SAFe certification (e.g., SA, SASM, RTE) or equivalent Agile certifications
- Experience in complex, multi-team or enterprise-scale environments
- Exposure to AI-enabled delivery tools or advanced agile analytics platforms
