Job Description

We are seeking a visionary, pioneering Agentic Squad Director to join us on our ongoing journey of evolution and constant refinement to continuously chart new territory, establish agile processes, and rapidly evaluate and adopt the best tools and best practices constantly being released in the global software development community.

Reporting to our Chief Information Officer, your mission will be to lead our squads, composed of human engineers and product owners distributed across Singapore (SG), Japan (JP), and Vietnam (VN) as they mature, foster continuous learning, define modern governance metrics and empowering a single squad to seamlessly orchestrate multiple parallel code production lines simultaneously-delivering extremely high-quality, hyper-scalable enterprise software within assured timelines.

Responsibilities

• Continuous Evolution & Horizon Scanning

• Establish a mechanism for continuous improvement, regularly evaluating week-by-week advancements in frontier AI models, open-source libraries, and advanced coding harnesses.

• Act as the squad's chief navigator for the global software development community, rapidly testing, adapting, and adopting emerging industry best practices into STYL's active delivery pipelines.

• Architect the operational workflows that allow multiple, independent agentic code lines to scale within a single squad, eliminating delivery friction and integration bottlenecks.

• Strategic Leadership & Regional Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a multi-cultural regional delivery team, aligning engineers and product owners based across SG, JP, and VN into unified, cross-border agentic squads.

• Shift the mindsets of regional engineering teams from traditional coding to a culture of continuous tool experimentation, prompt refinement, and automated system orchestration.

• Foster a collaborative, inclusive environment that bridges regional perspectives to optimize delivery velocity and product market-fit.

• Process Optimization & Git Workflow Governance

• Drive the deep adoption and iterative advancement of our Specification-Driven Development (SDD) approach, ensuring machine-readable blueprints (API schemas and custom Agent Manifests) dictate flawless autonomous execution.

• Establish advanced multi-agent code-merging and validation processes deeply integrated with modern enterprise Git workflows (including branch strategies, automated pull-request reviews, code conflict resolution protocols, and semantic versioning).

• Ensure that parallel code production lines managed by AI agents merge cleanly via Git into core deployment pipelines with absolute structural integrity.

• Governance, Security & Guardrails

• Design and refine enterprise-grade governance frameworks to manage expanding agent autonomy, defining strict boundaries for automated code generation, refactoring, and self-healing systems.

• Design and enforce risk-mitigation protocols, cost-tracking mechanisms, and absolute quality gates to ensure scalable output and eliminate logic drift in the automated production lines.

• Standardize Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) approval protocols, determining exactly when human intervention is required versus where full agent autonomy is permitted.

• Innovative Process & Tool Engineering

• Collaborate with internal platforms teams to build and inject specialized tools that enhance the operational capabilities of production agents (such as Knowledge agents for support, Automated Root Cause Analysis (RCA) agents, and proactive synthetic monitoring agents).

• Turn delivery data into actionable platform optimizations, designing processes that allow agents to learn from historical squad metrics and sprint retrospects.

• Take accountability to the CIO for the ultimate quality, scalability, and timeline assurance of all products and services delivered by the Agentic Squads.

Job Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent technical field.

• Delivery Leadership: 8+ years of experience leading software development or product delivery teams, with proven hands-on experience designing, deploying, or managing AI-assisted or agentic development workflows.

• Agile Adaptability: A proven track record of leading teams through rapid technological shifts, with a passion for experimenting with the latest coding harnesses and frontier model capabilities.

• Regional & Multi-Cultural Competency: Proven track record of managing distributed, multi-cultural engineering teams (specifically involving stakeholders across Singapore, Japan, and Vietnam) with a strong command of cross-border collaboration dynamics.

• Advanced Git Mastery: Deep operational familiarity with complex Git workflows, trunk-based development, branching strategies, and CI/CD integration models.

• Systems Thinking & SDD Proficiency: Strong experience implementing a Specification-Driven Development (SDD) approach, drafting strict schemas, and establishing automated quality assurance gates within an enterprise DevOps environment.

What measures the success of the role:

• Agentic Throughput: Demonstrated ability to scale parallel code production lines while maintaining high velocity and low defect rates.

• Autonomous Quality Assurance: Percentage of code autonomously validated and deployed via SDD-governed CI/CD pipelines without manual regression intervention.

• Git Workflow Integrity: Consistent, error-free merging of multi-agent contributions, validated by strict adherence to semantic versioning and branch protection protocols.

• System Resilience & Guardrails: Measurable reduction in logic drift and operational friction through proactive, automated monitoring and defined HITL (Human-in-the-Loop) threshold compliance.

• Strategic Technology Adoption: Successful integration of emerging AI models into the production stack, directly contributing to measurable improvements in squad delivery speed and code quality.
