Job Summary

As an Agency and Terminal Operation Officer, Candidate will be responsible for the efficient and safe management of terminal facilities and the smooth coordination of agency-related activities.

This role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational and communication skills to ensure seamless integration between agency functions and terminal operations-ultimately contributing to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Job Description

1) Terminal Operations

  • Oversee and coordinate daily terminal operations, including vessel berthing/unberthing, cargo loading/unloading, storage, and dispatch.
  • Ensure compliance with all terminal safety regulations, security procedures, and environmental policies.
  • Monitor and optimize terminal efficiency by identifying and implementing workflow and process improvements.
  • Coordinate with stevedores, surveyors, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth cargo handling.
  • Serve as the point of contact for operational queries related to the terminal.

2) Agency Operations

  • Act as the primary liaison between the company and external agencies (e.g.,shipping lines, port authorities, etc).
  • Coordinate all agency-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Facilitate effective communication and information flow between the agency and internal departments (e.g., Sales, Customer Service).
  • Assist in resolving any issues or discrepancies related to agency matters.
  • Stay current on relevant shipping and port operation regulations and procedures.

3) Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to understand customer requirements and ensure operational feasibility.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Service team to address inquiries and resolve operational issues.
  • Coordinate with the Finance department on matters related to terminal and agency costs and billing.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure alignment and operational efficiency.

Requirement

  • Possesses a diploma or at least 3 years of relevant experience in car carrier operations or a related industry.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
