Aerospace TIG Welder (Aircraft/ GTAW/ Engine Component)

Location: Seletar, Singapore
Industry: Aerospace MRO
Salary : Up to $3,500 depending on experience

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled Aerospace TIG Welding Specialist to perform precision weld repair and restoration work on aero engine components and cases used in next-generation gas turbine engines.



Key Responsibilities

  • Perform precision GTAW/TIG welding on aerospace engine cases and components
  • Carry out crack repair, weld buildup, porosity repair, and damaged area restoration
  • Perform weld blending and finishing activities
  • Coordinate post-weld heat treatment processes
  • Ensure compliance with OEM repair manuals and approved welding procedures
  • Support automated or orbital TIG welding processes where applicable
  • Participate in equipment validation and process qualification activities
  • Maintain welding records and quality documentation
  • Support 5S, audit readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives



Requirements

  • Technical certification or diploma in welding, aerospace manufacturing, or mechanical engineering
  • Current aerospace welding certifications (AWS D17.1 or equivalent)
  • Proven aerospace GTAW/TIG welding experience on nickel alloys, titanium, and stainless steel
  • Minimum 4-6 years of aerospace engine repair or MRO welding experience
  • Familiarity with Rolls-Royce, GE, Pratt & Whitney, or CFM repair standards
  • Experience with automated/orbital TIG welding is advantageous
  • In-depth understanding of aerospace workmanship and quality standards
