We are looking for an experienced AEM Technical Lead to join our UI Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development, strong front-end development expertise, and the ability to lead the design and implementation of scalable, enterprise-grade web applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
- Develop custom AEM components, templates, dialogs, workflows, and integrations.
- Build responsive, cross-browser compatible user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes into high-quality web experiences.
- Work with Sling Models, HTL (Sightly), OSGi, JCR, Dispatcher, and AEM Core Components.
- Ensure code quality, maintainability, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Integrate AEM with backend Java services and REST APIs.
- Utilize JavaScript build tools such as Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt for optimized deployments.
- Collaborate with backend developers, DevOps, and cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical guidance to development teams.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical design discussions and code reviews.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of software development experience with strong expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x/6.5).
- Hands-on experience with:
- AEM Components, Templates, Editable Templates
- Sling Models, Apache Sling, OSGi, JCR, CRXDE
- HTL (Sightly), Touch UI, Granite UI
- AEM Workflows, Content Fragments, Experience Fragments
- Dispatcher, DAM, AEM Assets, AEM Sites
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, ES6, jQuery, and AJAX.
- Experience in responsive and cross-browser web development.
- Good knowledge of Java and backend integration within AEM.
- Experience with Webpack, Gulp, Grunt, or similar build tools.
- Strong understanding of web accessibility, performance optimization, and best coding practices.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AEM Headless CMS and SPA Editor.
- Hands-on experience with React or Angular integrated with AEM.
- Knowledge of Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud solutions.
- Experience leading development teams and mentoring engineers.
