The Advisor, Strategy and Project Implementation will support the Project Director in delivering overall Finance Transformation objective through the ERP / EPM implementation by orchestrating stakeholder engagement, cross‑team collaboration, and program‑level alignment. The role acts as a critical connective layer across business, IT, and external partners to ensure strategic initiatives are executed effectively, investments are well governed, and intended business value is realized.
While the initial focus of this role is to ensure the successful delivery and adoption of the ERP / EPM program, the role is also designed to support the organization beyond implementation, by taking on additional strategic transformation initiatives / projects.
Roles & Responsibilities
Strategy & Transformation Program Engagement & Stakeholder Alignment
. Support program‑wide stakeholder engagement to ensure consistent alignment with Finance Transformation Project objectives, priorities, and governance expectations.
. Assist program leadership in maintaining alignment with overall program objectives.
. Maintain an active engagement rhythm with key project leaders to anticipate issues, accelerate decisions, and reduce friction across teams.
. Act as the program connective tissue across PMO, functional, technical, data, and change workstreams, ensuring tight coordination with the system integrator.
. Identify, track, and drive resolution of cross workstream dependencies, engagement gaps, decision bottlenecks, and readiness risks.
. Facilitate cross functional discussions to align on approach, ownership, timelines, and handoffs escalate where required.
. Drive / participate in any other strategic initiatives sponsored under the Strategy and Transformation leadership
Project Governance, Reporting & Executive Communications
. Support project reporting pack preparation, leadership updates, and Steering Committee materials, ensuring clear, outcome‑focused reporting
. Provide consolidated program insights covering progress, key decisions needed, major risks/issues, stakeholder readiness, and next step actions.
. Reinforce governance discipline (e.g., scope monitoring/escalation pathways) and ensure the right forums are used for decisions.
. Evaluate project outcomes to identify lessons learned and opportunities for process improvement
. Drive post implementation reviews to ensure sustained performance and long term success.
Master data Strategy
. Support the design and alignment of key master data structures required for the new ERP system, including Chart of Accounts (CoA), organizational hierarchies, and reporting dimensions.
. Work with Finance, IT, and business teams to translate current reporting needs into the target ERP data structure and reporting framework.
. Facilitate discussions to review and simplify existing account, cost center, and line‑of‑business structures for the future state.
. Support the definition of line of business (LOB) and reporting hierarchies within the ERP system to enable consistent financial and operational reporting across the organization.
. Coordinate with data, finance, and system implementation teams to ensure master data structures are properly configured and integrated within the ERP design.
. Establish master data governance processes, including ownership, maintenance procedures, and change control for key finance and operational data elements.
. Plan for data migration activities, including mapping legacy data structures to the new ERP master data design.
. Monitor and escalate data‑related risks that could impact reporting accuracy or system delivery.
Project Management and Execution
As Project Manager:
. Lead assigned projects end-to-end from conceptualization to execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
. Define project objectives, success criteria, scope, and resourcing create and maintain project plans with clear milestones and timelines.
. Drive effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional internal and external teams to manage competing priorities.
. Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather insights, manage dependencies and drive consensus among stakeholders, ensuring alignment at all stages of the project.
. Identify and resolve roadblocks, manage risks, and make trade-offs to balance business needs and constraints.
. Conduct regular status meetings, prepare agendas, document minutes, and track follow-up actions escalate issues as needed.
. Support change management and go-live activities measure and manage project benefits and costs to ensure resource efficiency.
. Incorporate best-in-class project management standards in all initiatives.
Project Team Member
. Represent Finance in enterprise, business, or IT projects, acting as liaison between Finance and other functional teams.
. Provide Finance-related guidance and coordinate deliverables across Finance functions.
. Ensure timely completion of assigned actions and support overall project success.
. Any other tasks that may reasonably be required of the role.
Qualification
. Bachelor's degree-level or equivalent.
. Formal project management methodology qualifications, PMP certification preferred.
Requirements
. At least 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting domain, with at least 2 years of hands-on involvement in ERP projects. Experience in audit or logistics industry is a plus.
. Self-motivated, organized, forward-thinking, resulted orientated and able to manage priorities effectively.
. Ability to manage multiple complex cross-functional programs at once, work to tight deadlines.
. Strong communications and interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment with a good command of spoken and written English to influence and motivate.
. Cross functional relationship building is paramount as the role must be able to work with and influence both internal and external individuals not directly under their control.
. Vocal and confident to voice constructive challenges to business assumptions.
. Strong analytical skills, meticulous, innovative and resourceful to resolve issues.
. Good business acumen with the ability to synthesize complex data from different sources into meaningful insights and actionable information to stakeholders.
. Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of project management technology tools and continually seek opportunities to develop your skillset.
. Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft office (Teams, Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
