Job Description

Our People team is responsible for managing and enhancing all aspects of human resources and employee experience. Our team oversees talent acquisition, including recruiting, interviewing and onboarding new hires, ensuring that the Firm attracts and retains top legal talent and business services professionals. We develop and implement HR policies, manage employee relations, and administer compensation and benefits programs to ensure a fair and supportive work environment. Additionally, the People team focuses on training, professional development, work allocation, mobility and fostering a positive workplace culture. We also handle performance management, employee engagement, and compliance with labor laws and regulations. Through our comprehensive HR strategies and initiatives, the People team ensures that the Firm's workforce around the world is motivated, skilled and mobilized to deliver on the Firm's objectives.

Overview

This Advisor role delivers a portfolio of benefit activities and services as part of our global Benefits team, drawing on specialist benefits knowledge and skills. Managing delivery of a range of products and cyclical activities, providing specialist benefits support and guidance to our HR teams, partners and employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Benefits Administration and Renewal Processes
    • Managing the administration of benefits programmes, including the International Health Insurance Plan, in alignment with Firm policies and regional requirements
    • Ensuring all benefits-related content on relevant internal and external systems is accurate and up to date
    • Supporting annual benefits renewal processes and cyclical activities, including vendor management, data analysis, reporting, and communications
    • Supporting special projects and activities such as provider reviews, new benefit implementations and benefit changes
    • Ensuring compliance with APAC statutory requirements and reporting obligations for benefits programs.
    • Draft and/or review employee and partner communications to ensure robust, accurate and compliant communication materials for promotion of the benefit programs
    • Maintain an inventory of all benefits and benefit renewals

  • Escalation Point and Process Improvement
    • Point of contact for our employees and partner queries in the region and escalation point for our HR Shared Services team to resolve complex benefits queries
    • Continuously documenting and refining current processes, identifying opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency
  • Data Analytics:
    • Leveraging data analytics through tools like Microsoft Power BI and the broker's technology platform to enhance benefits reporting and drive strategic decision-making
  • Partnerships and Collaboration:
    • Developing successful partnerships with external vendor contacts
    • Establishing strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, including People Advisory (HR) colleagues, Partner Resources, Compensation, Payroll, and HR Operations teams
    • Ensuring concerted efforts to deliver excellence to our partners and employees
Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant benefits experience, including experience with APAC benefit administration and vendor management of pension, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Proven analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and outstanding critical thinking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-service environment
  • Experience with Benifex and Workday preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with all levels of partners and employees
  • Additional proficiency in Mandarin and Japanese is advantageous.

Location and Reporting

This role is based in our Singapore office and reports to the Manager, Benefits – APAC.

Our standard office hours are 09:00-18:00, with a current requirement for 4 days in the office per week.
