RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position is for Lee Kong Chian School of Business (LKCSB).
  • Recruitment, Outreach & Events
    • Formulate and implement recruitment strategies of SMU LKCSB postgraduate programmes to the public and interested prospects.
    • Maintain and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to build pipeline of qualified students to the various postgraduate programmes.
    • Consult with prospective students for postgraduate programmes with SMU LKCSB to share information on programmes and admissions criteria.
    • Create and maintain additional recruitment channels.
  • Team Management
    • Manage a team to oversee recruitment efforts and admissions processes for a suite of programmes within the SMU LKCSB postgraduate programmes.
    • Oversee recruitment team's efforts to ensure marketing collaterals are relevant and updated.
  • Admissions
    • Conduct admission interviews to assess and evaluate applicants for various postgraduate programmes within the SMU LKCSB.
    • Evaluate scholarship applications and manage scholarship budget, including administering of scholarships with stakeholders.
  • IT & Systems
    • Subject-matter expert for automated marketing and Customer Relationship Management platforms.
    • Build and maintain tools to facilitate the processes of the team in recruitment and admissions, and guide team members in the use of such tools.
    • Collate and provide enrolment statistics and for reporting purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree from an established University.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience marketing education products, wholesale, and retail, preferably in an Institute of Higher Learning.
  • Candidates that are less experienced might be appointed at Manager title.
  • Good interpersonal skills, prior event planning and administrative/recruitment experience would be advantageous.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of postgraduate programmes or education environment a plus.
  • Self-starter with initiative, and a good problem-solver.
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office, Excel and Outlook required.
  • Meticulous with attention to important details.
  • Pleasant personality and a strong team player.
  • Willing to travel.

Candidates who do not possess the stipulated qualifications but have relevant work experience may still apply. Remuneration and appointment terms shall commensurate with qualifications and experience. SMU reserves the right to modify the appointment terms where necessary.
