About the Role

Our client from the Government Sector is seeking a committed and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily administrative and operational functions within the department. This role is suitable for individuals who enjoy coordination work, are highly organised, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth administrative operations while working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable exposure and experience within the public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the department

  • Handle documentation, filing, data entry, and records management

  • Prepare reports, presentation materials, meeting minutes, and correspondence

  • Coordinate meetings, schedules, and logistical arrangements

  • Liaise with internal departments, vendors, and external stakeholders

  • Support procurement, invoice processing, and claims administration where required

  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal procedures

  • Assist with ad-hoc duties and projects assigned by the team

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma qualification or equivalent

  • Prior experience in administrative, coordination, or support functions preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Meticulous, organised, and able to multitask effectively

  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment

  • Candidates who can commence work immediately or within short notice will have an advantage

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to Government or Public Sector environment will be an added advantage

  • Familiarity with government procurement system, GeBIZ is beneficial
