Job Summary

Support the Science department and front-desk operations at a primary school in Boon Lay by preparing teaching resources, assisting with science experiments, providing administrative support, and managing customer service duties.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare teaching and learning resources to support classroom activities
  • Assemble and organise science experiment materials and maintain a clean, orderly science laboratory
  • Assist students in conducting science experiments under teacher supervision to ensure safety and learning
  • Provide administrative support by preparing student achievement certificates and collating student survey responses
  • Manage the loan and return process of teaching resources and prepare documentation for resource condemnation when needed
  • Deliver front-desk customer service by handling walk-in and telephone enquiries from parents professionally
  • Perform school printing duties as required to support daily operations

Required competencies and certifications

  • Minimum GCE N-Level Certificate with passes in English and Mathematics
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting teaching activities
  • At least 2 years of experience in reception or equivalent administrative roles

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a local school environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Other Information

  • Service not required on gazetted public holidays
  • Candidates must be comfortable working in a school environment and interacting with students, teachers, and parents
