Adjunct Music Teacher
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Adjunct Music Teacher who is committed to nurturing high-ability learners through innovative, interdisciplinary, and technology-enhanced music education. The candidate should be able
- demonstrate the ability to hear well, play well, explain well, and connect well.
- deliver engaging music lessons for students aged12-18.
- teach effectively in large groups of mixed abilities while managing classroom dynamics positively.
- support both the musical development and character growth of students.
- apply innovative, creative, and relevant pedagogical strategies to engage and inspire diverse learners.
- contribute to the delivery of an integrated, interdisciplinary six-year curriculum.
- co-teacher to Performing Arts CCAs and undertake other responsibilities that support the school's holistic education framework.
- learn and carry out departmental responsibilities that contribute to students holistic development.
Requirements
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Music or Music Education from a reputable university.
- At least 12 months of classroom teaching experience at the high school level.
- Proficiency in ICT and digital tools, including:
- Microsoft Office 365
- online teaching platforms (e.g. Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
- notation software (e.g. MuseScore, Sibelius)
- audio recording/editing tools
- Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs)
- Enthusiastic and passionate about music and teaching, demonstrated through action.
- A strong team player with a growth mindset who is self-directed, proactive, and adaptable.
Employment Terms: mid-June to Nov (5-6 months)
