Adjunct Lecturer (Mathematics) /School of Informatics & IT
[What you will be working on]
- Deliver lessons and fulfil all teaching-related responsibilities for mathematics courses covering vectors, matrices and calculus (foundation to applied level).
- Teach full-time diploma students.
- Conduct in-person lessons, typically scheduled between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday to Thursday, up to a maximum of 12 teaching hours per week.
- Deliver lessons commencing from October 2026 onwards
- Grade tests and assignments and ensure timely submission of results.
- Provide academic guidance and constructive feedback to students.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
- Adhere to the polytechnic's policies and procedures governing teaching and academic conduct.
- Attend professional development programmes conducted by the Polytechnic, where required.
[What we are looking for]
- Qualifications in Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong foundation in vectors, matrices and calculus from the foundation to applied levels.
- Candidates with an IT or computing background and the ability to relate mathematics to practical IT applications will have an advantage.
- Prior teaching, training or tutoring experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in teaching diploma-level students.
- Ability to work independently and manage teaching responsibilities effectively.
