Adjunct Lecturer (Information Technology) / School of Informatics & IT
[What you will be working on]
- Deliver engaging face-to-face and/or online lessons to full-time diploma students during scheduled teaching hours (typically 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.).
- Facilitate practical learning activities, laboratory sessions, and project-based assignments to enhance student learning.
- Assess assignments, projects, tests, and other assessments, and provide timely, constructive feedback to support student development.
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate assessment records, and contribute to the achievement of learning outcomes.
- Mentor and guide students in developing industry-relevant technical competencies and professional skills.
- Collaborate with fellow lecturers and subject teams to support effective curriculum delivery, review, and continuous improvement.
- Comply with the Polytechnic's policies, procedures, and standards relating to teaching, assessment, and academic conduct.
[What we are looking for]
- Qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of industry experience in software development, software engineering or DevOps-related roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Full-Stack Web Development
- JavaScript
- HTML and CSS
- React.js
- Node.js
- RESTful API development
- SQL and relational databases
- Application design, development, testing and deployment
- DevOps Engineering
- Git and version control workflows
- Jenkins
- CI/CD pipeline implementation
- Build and release automation
- DevOps practices and software delivery processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for teaching, coaching and mentoring learners.
