Adhoc Kitchen Assistant ($17/hour)

Position Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support our daily kitchen operations. This role focuses on packing meals, assisting the chef, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and consistency.

This is a flexible, part-time position with opportunities to grow as the business expands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pack cooked meals into containers accurately and efficiently

• Ensure proper portioning, labeling, and sealing of meals

• Assist the chef with basic food preparation (e.g. washing, cutting ingredients)

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and workstations

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools promptly

• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times

• Help with organizing ingredients and kitchen supplies

• Support smooth workflow to meet daily production targets

Requirements:

• WSQ Food Safety Level 1 (preferred, or willing to obtain)

• Prior kitchen or food handling experience is a plus

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail (especially for packing and portioning)

• Good hygiene practices and cleanliness

• Responsible, punctual, and reliable

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly pay of $17/hour (depending on experience)
