Job Description

The Actuarial Senior Associate supports the delivery of life insurance actuarial advisory and audit support services to insurers, reinsurers, regulators, and third-party administrators. The role provides exposure to a broad range of actuarial engagements, including solvency, capital, risk management, regulatory reporting, and financial modelling. This position is designed for individuals building strong actuarial foundations while contributing to high-quality client deliverables within a regional consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide life insurance actuarial advisory support across reserving, valuation, capital, and risk management engagements
  • Support seasonal actuarial audit projects, including analysis of assumptions, methodologies, and reporting outcomes
  • Assist in delivering actuarial advice on solvency, economic capital, reinsurance, and regulatory requirements
  • Support analysis of the impact of new regulations and accounting standards on insurers balance sheets and projections
  • Contribute to actuarial modelling, experience analysis, and reserve adequacy assessments
  • Prepare actuarial reports, working papers, proposals, and presentation materials for client engagements
  • Support advisory assignments related to mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, underwriting analysis, and operational efficiency
  • Work collaboratively within a regional actuarial team across Singapore and Asia while managing multiple project deliverables

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of actuarial experience within life insurance, consulting, or financial services organisations
  • Exposure to core life insurance actuarial areas such as reserving, valuation, ERM, capital modelling, and reinsurance
  • Experience with regulatory and reporting frameworks including ORSA, FCR, ICAAP, IFRS 17, and RBC
  • Good progress toward an internationally recognised actuarial qualification
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office for actuarial analysis and reporting
  • Exposure to actuarial modelling software is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and deliver high-quality outputs across multiple assignments
