The (Senior) Actuarial Manager will manage a team to complete various Actuarial projects, including business plan, stress testing exercise, annual actuarial initiatives and model/process optimization. This role will collaborate directly with other teams within the company and the Chief Actuary, as well as collaboration with Regional office/HNWs colleague. Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the company's annual business planning process by conducting in-depth analysis of company's financials, capital management strategies, earnings at risk, cash value deficiencies and their implications
- Responsible for the development and forecast of company's solvency and other related requirements for annual ORSA and other stress testing exercises
- Oversee model maintenance actuarial models for product cash flow projections, with exposure to various actuarial standards such as IFRS17 and Singapore RBC2.
- Contribute to ongoing projects, including model governance enhancement, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. Explore applications of newly developed actuarial models and emerging technologies like Generative AI where relevant.
- Collaborate with other employees to build and enhance processes to ensure efficient workflows and a strong control environment.
- Conduct risk quantification and analysis and contribute to mitigation strategies and alternatives.
- Additional duties may be required from time to time by Senior Management.
Job Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in Life Insurance industry, preferably with valuation experience
- Associate of the Singapore Actuarial Society (or equivalent)
- Fellow of the Singapore Actuarial Society (or equivalent) is preferred, but not required
- Experience with any valuation and reserve/capital framework is required
- Experience with Moody's AXIS, Pathwise, Prophet or alternative actuarial modelling software is preferred
- Strong technical skills and problem-solving ability
- Strong cross team collaboration skills and ability to advance projects independently
