Active Alignment Process Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Active Alignment Process Engineer to join our high-performance team developing the photonics solutions powering next-generation AI infrastructure. You will be responsible for optical active alignment processes, equipment controls, and alignment algorithms critical for transceiver manufacturing. You will also handle equipment buyoff and qualification, as well as epoxy dispensing and curing processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize optical active alignment processes for transceiver production
- Operate, set up, and maintain active alignment equipment, including equipment control and qualification
- Develop, implement, and optimize alignment algorithms
- Perform equipment buyoff and equipment qualification activities
- Oversee epoxy dispensing and curing processes
- Design and refine fixtures to improve alignment processes
- Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure high yield and quality in production
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment control, alignment processes, and fixtures
- Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience with optical active alignment for transceivers or related photonic devices
- Familiarity with active alignment processes and equipment
- Experience with equipment buyoff and qualification
- Knowledge of epoxy dispensing and curing methods
- Experience with equipment control
- Experience in fixture design for alignment
- Proficiency in developing or optimizing alignment algorithms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, physics, optics, or related field preferred
