Job Description
We are looking for an experienced ACMV Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, execution and completion of ACMV (Air-Conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation) projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, within budget, on schedule and according to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee ACMV projects from planning and design coordination through installation, testing and commissioning.
- Supervise ACMV installation works including:Chilled water pipingFCU and AHU installationVRV/VRF systemsDuctwork and ventilation systemsExhaust and fresh-air systemsPumps, fans and associated mechanical equipmentACMV control and BMS interface works
- Plan manpower, materials, tools, equipment and subcontractor requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings and technical submissions.
- Monitor site progress and ensure works are completed according to project schedules.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure installation works comply with approved drawings and specifications.
- Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, inspection and testing plans and other project documentation.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, balancing and handing-over of ACMV systems.
- Monitor project costs, material usage and manpower productivity.
- Identify site issues and provide suitable technical solutions.
- Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates to management.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore WSH requirements and company safety procedures.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working practices at project sites.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities and stakeholders where required.
- Supervise and guide ACMV engineers, supervisors, technicians and workers.
- Manage project documentation, as-built drawings, testing reports and operation & maintenance documents.
- Support the project team in achieving project targets, quality requirements and client satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, ACMV Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant ACMV experience, preferably with experience managing commercial, industrial or building projects.
- Strong knowledge of ACMV systems, installation practices, testing and commissioning.
- Experience in managing ACMV site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Able to read and understand mechanical, ACMV and M&E drawings.
- Good knowledge of chilled water systems, ducting, ventilation systems, FCU/AHU, VRV/VRF and related equipment.
- Knowledge of Singapore building and workplace safety requirements.
- Good project planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects or work packages simultaneously.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with AutoCAD and relevant ACMV/project management software.
- Able to work independently and under pressure to meet project deadlines.
- Singapore driving licence is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant ACMV / M&E professional certifications.
- Experience with Singapore construction and ACMV projects.
- Experience coordinating with consultants, main contractors and authorities.
- Knowledge of BCA, SCDF and WSH requirements.
- Experience in testing, commissioning and TAB (Testing, Adjusting and Balancing) works.
