Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented ACMV Engineer to lead the design, coordination, and installation of mechanical ventilation and cooling systems. You will play a critical role in bridging the gap between technical engineering requirements and high-end interior aesthetics, specifically for commercial offices and specialized laboratory environments.
Key Responsibilities
- System Design & Calculation: Perform cooling load calculations, equipment sizing, and ducting/piping layout designs using AutoCAD and Revit (BIM).
- Technical Integration: Coordinate with Interior Designers to ensure diffusers, grilles, and sensors are integrated seamlessly into fluted or acoustic ceiling panels without compromising performance.
- Specialized Environments: Design and oversee exhaust systems for cleanrooms or laboratories, ensuring compliance with NEA and SCDF safety standards.
- Project Management: Manage subcontractors and site progress to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Documentation: Prepare technical submissions, O&M manuals, and project handover documentation.
- Support site supervision activities including inspections, testing, and commissioning works.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management team or immediate superior.
Requirements
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in ACMV project management within the Singapore construction/ID industry.
- Technical Skills: . Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore Standards (e.g., SS 553, SS 591).
- Experience with Green Mark requirements is a significant advantage.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills to coordinate between clients, consultants, and site teams.
- Attributes: Proactive problem-solver with a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of BIM (Revit) software to enhance design and coordination efficiency
