Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Tendering & Cost Estimation

  • Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify project requirements.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for ACMV systems, including materials, equipment, and labour.
  • Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure cost competitiveness.
  • Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), costing summaries, and tender price breakdowns.
  • Conduct value engineering and cost analysis to optimize project budgets.
  • Ensure cost estimations comply with company standards and client requirements.

Coordination & Documentation

  • Liaise with procurement, engineering, and project teams to gather relevant information for pricing.
  • Address all technical and commercial clarifications during tender preparation.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of costing data, quotations, and tender submissions.
  • Prepare tender comparison sheets and assist management in final pricing decisions.

Technical & Commercial Support

  • Provide technical input on ACMV design options from a costing and feasibility perspective.
  • Assist in preparing tender clarifications, proposals, and cost summaries for client submissions.
  • Support project handover meetings to ensure a smooth transition from tender to execution.
  • Monitor cost performance of awarded projects and identify areas for cost improvement.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in ACMV tendering, estimation, or project costing.
  • Strong understanding of ACMV components such as ducting, piping, ventilation, and insulation works.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (experience with costing templates preferred).
  • Strong numerical accuracy and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication and coordination skills across departments and with vendors.
  • Independent, responsible, and able to work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Positive working attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to project requirements.
