ACMV BIM/Modeller Job Description

An ACMV BIM/Modeller is responsible for developing and coordinating 3D BIM models for air conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems using software such as Revit. The role includes preparing detailed HVAC layouts, routing ductwork and piping, performing clash detection with other disciplines, and ensuring models comply with project specifications and BIM standards. The modeller also supports coordination meetings, updates models based on design changes, and assists in producing shop drawings and construction documentation.

Skills Requirement :

. Revit MEP / BIM modelling

. HVAC ducting and piping layout

. Clash detection (Navisworks)

. Shop drawing preparation

. BIM coordination with MEP teams

. Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for ACMV systems including ductwork, chilled water piping, and equipment using Autodesk Revit.

. Produce shop drawings, layout plans, and sections in accordance with project specifications and BIM standards.

. Perform clash detection and coordination with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines using Navisworks.

. Support BIM coordination meetings and update models based on design changes and site requirements.

. Ensure models comply with project BIM execution plan (BEP), local codes, and client standards.

. Assist engineers and project teams in design development, coordination, and construction documentation.
