We're seeking a passionate and experienced ACLP/ACTA-certified trainer to lead a national training initiative under the Silver Generation Office (SGO) and Agency for Integrated Care (AIC).
As the Lead Trainer, you will play a vital role in equipping volunteers to engage with seniors, promote healthier aging, and champion community care efforts. You'll take the lead in delivering structured training sessions, mentoring part-time trainers, and ensuring every volunteer is confidently prepared to serve.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate classroom-based training
- Oversee and assess volunteers during Engagement Practice (EP) sessions on the ground
- Coordinate training schedules and mentor part-time trainers to ensure consistency and quality
- Deliver content using approved training materials (curriculum provided)
- Monitor training outcomes and support volunteer qualification readiness
- Participate in periodic planning or debrief sessions
- Support volunteer recruitment efforts, including outreach and referrals when required
Requirements
- ACLP or ACTA certification (mandatory)
- Minimum 2 years of facilitation or adult training experience
- Strong communication, classroom engagement, and leadership skills
- Availability for weekend training sessions
- A heart for community work and a passion for senior engagement
- SGA-certified trainers will have an advantageOtherwise, candidate must be willing to attend a Train-the-Trainer onboarding session and qualify as an SGA trainer
