- Perform month-end closing activities and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare journal entries for accruals, prepayments, reversals and other GL transactions.
- Perform monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
- Maintain tax schedules and prepare withholding tax (WHT) calculations and supporting documents.
- Perform General Ledger foreign currency revaluation and prepare relevant accounting schedules.
- Support the preparation and updating of financial statement schedules and notes.
- Review employee expense claims and ad-hoc payment requests in accordance with company policies.
- Monitor inventory-related accounting matters, including Goods-in-Transit (GIT), stock disposal and production cycle count variances.
- Prepare and submit government surveys through relevant e-filing platforms.
- Support annual statutory audits by preparing audit schedules and providing supporting documents.
- Support inventory stock takes and fixed asset verification exercises.
- Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
- Relevant hands-on experience in accounting / finance operations.
- Good knowledge of month-end closing, GL, journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Experience in inventory or manufacturing accounting will be an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting/ERP systems.
