Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) is looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to join our Financial Control (FinCon) team in Singapore. In this role, you will be at the heart of our financial reporting and compliance activities, contributing to the accuracy and integrity of the Group's financial position. Working closely with our FinCon, commercial, and legal teams, you will play a meaningful part in shaping how EPS manages its financial performance across a diverse fleet and a globally integrated business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare consolidated financial statements for the Group and its sub-groups, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Oversee statutory and tax compliance requirements for Group and individual shipping entities, including managing the annual audit process and submission of tax returns.
- Monitor developments in accounting and tax regulations to ensure the Group remains compliant and up to date.
- Review month-end closing and quarterly reporting for the Group & Corporate function.
- Partner with internal departments to review and analyse monthly management reports, providing meaningful analytical insights to management and commercial heads.
- Assess charter arrangements of vessels and ensure compliance with Group policies for both financial and management reporting.
- Perform vessel revenue accounting activities in IMOS, including AR invoicing, charterer receipts, voyage accruals, completed voyage closures, and coordination with Operations and Post Fixtures teams.
- Carry out account reviews and reconciliations to support timely and accurate closing of accounts.
- Support the preparation of financial statements, ECL and doubtful debt assessments, year-end reconciliations, and audit requirements.
- Lead and contribute to ad-hoc projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy or equivalent, with a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar managerial role within the maritime industry.
- Working experience in the shipping industry is essential.
- Prior experience with IMOS and Oracle ERP and EPM modules is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards and tax compliance requirements.
- Proficient in data mining and synthesising complex data into clear, actionable insights for management and commercial reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and with external stakeholders.
