Job Description

Accounts Executive (TEMP- Immediate to Jan 2027, with potential extension to Jun 2027)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end closing activities for assigned entities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, schedules and follow-up of outstanding items.
  • Prepare monthly controller reports and supporting financial schedules, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely submission.
  • Handle treasury-related activities for the Group, including foreign exchange transactions, loan drawdowns, loan rollovers and related banking documentation.
  • Prepare and process payments, including reviewing supporting documents and ensuring payments are properly authorised and processed on time.
  • Monitor bank transactions and maintain accurate accounting and treasury records.
  • Support year-end closing and statutory audit, including preparation of schedules and supporting document.
  • Liaise with banks, auditors, internal stakeholders and other relevant parties on accounting and treasury matters as required.
  • Participate in ad hoc finance assignments, process improvements and projects as required.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant hands-on accounting experience, with good practical knowledge of month-end closing and financial reporting.
  • Practical experience in treasury operations, banking transactions, foreign exchange and payment processing would be advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with accounting schedules and financial data.
  • Mature, dependable and hands-on, with the ability to independently manage assigned responsibilities and follow matters through to completion.
  • Meticulous and organised, with good attention to detail and the ability to meet reporting and payment deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at different levels.
  • A collaborative team player who is comfortable working in a lean finance team and supporting different areas of the finance function when required.
