Key Job Purpose :
1. Ensure month-end closing activities arecompleted accurately and timely, and that monthly and quarterly reportingpackages are submitted in accordance with corporate reporting requirements.
2. Support the Finance Manager in maintainingIFRS compliance and financial reporting integrity within SAP for the assignedlegal entity.
3. Provide accounting, bookkeeping, and taxcompliance support for the Myanmar branch.
Summary of Functional Duties & Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing
- Prepare and submit monthly andquarterly reporting packages for the SAP legal entity, including Sales, Cost of Sales (COS), and intercompany balance/transaction reporting.
- Execute month-end closing activities,including: Service Order Settlement, Service Cost Allocation, COPA Cycle Processing, Reconciliation of Financial Statements against COPA reports prior to COPA cycle postings.
- Prepare and distribute KE24 sales and gross profit reports to the Sales & Distribution team.
- Review and process provisions, including incidental cost accruals and expired stock impairment provisions.
Accounting & Reconciliation
- Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned accounts and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Create and maintain intercompany business partners (customers and vendors) as well as third-party vendor master data.
- Support annual financial audits by preparing audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to audit queries.
Myanmar Branch Support
- Manage the annual financial finalization process for the Myanmar branch, including preparation and submission of tax filings in compliance with local regulations.
Compliance & Governance
- Support J-SOX compliance requirements by preparing and submitting required documentation and control evidence.
- Prepare and submit government statistical surveys and regulatory returns in a timely manner.
- Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to strengthen process governance and internal controls.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in finance-related projects, including system enhancements, process improvements, user acceptance testing (UAT), and implementation of required changes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of accounting and reporting processes.
Other Responsibilities
- Support other finance-related activities as assigned, including inventory stock counts, fixed asset verification exercises, and ad hoc reporting requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- ACCA (Partly Qualified - Level 1 or Level 2) or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or finance operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience working with SAP ERP systems.
- Knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial performance management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic project coordination and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
- Open-minded, team-player.
- Experience with SAP COPA processes and reporting.
- Exposure to J-SOX compliance requirements.
- Experience in intercompany accounting and regional reporting environments.
- Knowledge of Myanmar accounting and tax regulations.
