Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable/Payable Executive to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate recording of revenue, maintaining account reconciliations, and supporting financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing of revenue accounts in compliance with accounting standards.
- Record all revenue and receivables transactions accurately into the accounting system with complete supporting documentation.
- Review and verify revenue adjustments, ensuring proper justification and required approvals are obtained.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records, including reconciliations.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up promptly with internal and external stakeholders on payment matters.
- Ensure all cash/receipts are properly banked in, recorded, and reconciled on a timely basis.
- Support customer billing processes and handle inter-company transactions accurately.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable or general accounting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g. Quick book systems is an advantage).
- Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy and integrity in financial data handling.
- Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in F&B, retail, or hospitality industry will be an added advantage.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for accounts receivable and payable during audits.
- Assist in improving finance processes and internal controls where necessary.
- Perform other ad-hoc finance and accounting duties as assigned by management.
