ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE FOR A TRADING COMPANY

We are Urgently looking for an Accounts executive-Commercial Accounts experience

Job Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing cosmetic distribution company in Singapore. The candidate will be responsible for full sets of accounts, timely GST submissions, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities. This role requires a strong understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), GST regulations, and hands-on accounting operations in a fast-paced retail/distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

Handle full sets of accounts including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Fixed Assets.

Manage monthly and quarterly GST filings accurately and in compliance with IRAS regulations.

Perform bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash flows and payments.

Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries, accruals, and provisions.

Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and statutory boards (e.g., ACRA, IRAS).

Monitor and control inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS).

Prepare financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis for management review.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and financial reporting standards.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning processes.

Work closely with sales, logistics, and procurement teams for financial coordination.

Requirements

A Degree in Accounting, Finance is mandatory.

At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail, distribution, or trading sectors.

Strong knowledge of Singapore GST rules and filing procedures.

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, Ms.Navision, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.

Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to meet tight deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in a team.

Preferred Skills

Experience in the cosmetic or a Trading industry is preferrable

Familiar with multi-currency transactions and regional reporting.

Experience with ERP or inventory systems is advantageous.

Experience in Import and export is needed
