About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Executive (Maternity Cover) to support our regional accounting operations. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of our financial records and ensuring the smooth execution of day-to-day bookkeeping.
This is an ideal position for a proactive professional who can manage reconciliations and month-end tasks independently while contributing to the overall efficiency of our APAC finance team.
Core Responsibilities
- Ledger Management: Oversee daily accounting transactions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general ledger maintenance.
- Precise Bookkeeping: Prepare and post journal entries with high accuracy to ensure all financial data is captured on a timely basis.
- Reconciliations: Conduct regular bank reconciliations and proactively resolve any identified discrepancies.
- Month-End Support: Assist in the month-end closing process, including the preparation of detailed accounting schedules.
- Reporting Assistance: Contribute to the development of fundamental financial and management reports for the regional office.
- Audit Readiness: Support both internal and external audit requirements by preparing and organizing necessary documentation.
- Records Governance: Maintain a systematic filing system for all accounting records to ensure data integrity and easy retrieval.
- Adaptive Support: Tackle ad-hoc accounting projects and administrative tasks as assigned by the finance leadership.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on accounting experience, with a solid grasp of standard bookkeeping practices and accounting principles.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Linguistic Versatility: Effective bilingual communication skills in English and Chinese to collaborate with diverse stakeholders across our APAC offices.
- Professional Mindset: A responsible individual with a strong sense of ownership, a sharp eye for detail, and a genuine eagerness to learn.
