Job Title Accounts Executive / Accountant
Job Summary
Perform comprehensive accounts payable, receivable, and procurement functions to support financial accuracy and compliance. Prepare financial reports, manage bank reconciliations, and assist with payroll and GST filings to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial reports including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements to support business decision-making
- Assist in preparing financial forecasts to guide budgeting and planning
- Conduct regular financial analyses and reviews to identify opportunities for process and cost improvements
- Manage and reconcile bank accounts to ensure accurate cash flow tracking
- Prepare inter-company billings and reconcile inter-company balances to maintain accurate internal accounting
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements to uphold financial integrity
- Prepare and file GST returns accurately and on time to meet statutory obligations
- Assist with payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes within the organization to ensure timely financial reporting
- Process and manage claims and reimbursements submitted by internal staff to maintain accurate expense records
- Provide administrative support to directors and team members to facilitate smooth office operations
- Demonstrate initiative and adaptability by being open to job rotation and additional duties as assigned
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the F&B industry (non-halal)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams
- Solid understanding of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address financial challenges
