Job Summary:
The Accounts Assistant is responsible for managing the Accounts Payable (AP) functions, ensuring accurate processing of subcontractors invoices, and performing vendor reconciliations. This role also includes handling small accounts, issuing sales invoices, preparing and filing GST returns, and performing bank reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Accounts Payable (AP) activities.
- Process subcontractor invoices.
- Perform vendor reconciliations.
- Manage journal entries for the AP function.
- Handle small set of accounts (less than 10 enteries per month).
- Issue sales invoices
- Process subcontractor invoices.
- Prepare and file GST returns.
- PErform bank reconciliations
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
- A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Accounts Payable, accounting, or a similar role.
- Experience with processing invoices, vendor reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Familiarity with GST regulations and filing procedures.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g MYOB, SAP)
- Clear and effective communication skills with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
