Job Description

Job Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Accounts Assistant / Executive to join our finance team. In this role, you will support day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial records, and assist with month-end closing processes.

  • Working Location: Tanjong Pagar, Singapore

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:45 AM - 5:45 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in month-end closing and prepare journal entries for General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP), including inter-company/inter-department billing

  • Manage and follow up on collections to ensure timely payments and minimize overdue accounts

  • Perform daily corporate credit card transactions and reconciliations

  • Reconcile corporate bank cards to ensure accuracy and completeness

  • Handle reconciliation of CTLC Statement of Accounts (SOA) related to airline ticket issuance

  • Maintain bank books and DCR settlements, including monthly bank reconciliations

  • Conduct weekly BSP uploads and monitor unbilled tickets to ensure timely invoicing

  • Process daily sales collections (GIRO, cash, cheque, credit card) and related accounting entries

  • Prepare and send customer SOA and monitor outstanding balances

  • Assist in issuing invoices, credit notes, refunds, and cancellations

  • Prepare administrative ticket reports for month-end and related reporting needs

  • Support issuance of Exchange Orders (EO) and ensure supplier invoices are properly matched

  • Perform monthly stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy

  • Assist with audits and prepare supporting documentation

  • Support ad-hoc finance and accounting duties as required

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of AR, AP, GL, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting systems

  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with accuracy

  • Independent, proactive, and a strong team player in a fast-paced environment

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

  • Able to interact professionally with clients and suppliers

  • Experience in the travel industry is an advantage
