Job Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Accounts Assistant / Executive to join our finance team. In this role, you will support day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial records, and assist with month-end closing processes.
Working Location: Tanjong Pagar, Singapore
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:45 AM - 5:45 PM
Key Responsibilities
Assist in month-end closing and prepare journal entries for General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP), including inter-company/inter-department billing
Manage and follow up on collections to ensure timely payments and minimize overdue accounts
Perform daily corporate credit card transactions and reconciliations
Reconcile corporate bank cards to ensure accuracy and completeness
Handle reconciliation of CTLC Statement of Accounts (SOA) related to airline ticket issuance
Maintain bank books and DCR settlements, including monthly bank reconciliations
Conduct weekly BSP uploads and monitor unbilled tickets to ensure timely invoicing
Process daily sales collections (GIRO, cash, cheque, credit card) and related accounting entries
Prepare and send customer SOA and monitor outstanding balances
Assist in issuing invoices, credit notes, refunds, and cancellations
Prepare administrative ticket reports for month-end and related reporting needs
Support issuance of Exchange Orders (EO) and ensure supplier invoices are properly matched
Perform monthly stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy
Assist with audits and prepare supporting documentation
Support ad-hoc finance and accounting duties as required
Requirements & Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience preferred
Strong understanding of AR, AP, GL, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes
Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting systems
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with accuracy
Independent, proactive, and a strong team player in a fast-paced environment
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Able to interact professionally with clients and suppliers
Experience in the travel industry is an advantage
