VSTECS (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant (AP) to join our team on a contract basis. Based in the Lavender area of the Central Region, this role will be responsible for handling the full scope of accounting duties to support our growing business.
What you'll be doing
- Perform accounting tasks including accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and month-end reporting
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts in an accurate and timely manner
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and other ad-hoc reports
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties such as auditors and vendors
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures
- Provide support for month-end and year-end closing processes
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes
What we're looking for
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar full-cycle accounting role, preferably in the Accounting and Financial Accounting & Reporting industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A degree/dip or cert in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
