We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Assistant to support our finance operations. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate cash book records and perform bank reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, including recording supplier invoices, processing payments and issuing invoices and receipts
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and documented
- Assist in cashflow monitoring and forecasting
- Prepare accruals and prepayments for month-end closing
- Maintain fixed asset register
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and submit GST returns in compliance with IRAS requirements
- Support year-end audit, including preparation of audit schedules
- Liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, and vendors when required
- Perform administrative and ad-hoc duties as assigned
Job requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience (preferred, but fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas, basic data handling)
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles
- Meticulous, organized, and able to meet deadlines
- Independent, responsible, and a team player
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
