Accounts Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Assistant to support our finance operations. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate cash book records and perform bank reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, including recording supplier invoices, processing payments and issuing invoices and receipts
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and documented
• Assist in cashflow monitoring and forecasting
• Prepare accruals and prepayments for month-end closing
• Maintain fixed asset register
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and submit GST returns in compliance with IRAS requirements
• Support year-end audit, including preparation of audit schedules
• Liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, and vendors when required
• Perform administrative and ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience (preferred, but fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas, basic data handling)
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles
• Meticulous, organized, and able to meet deadlines
• Independent, responsible, and a team player
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
