Job Summary

The Accounts and Payroll Executive is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of payroll processing. This includes preparing employee salary statements, processing paychecks, and ensuring compliance with governmental laws and policies. They maintain payroll files, create reports, and resolve any payroll issues that arise. Additionally, they handle tax-related tasks, such as calculating deductions and withholdings, and ensure accurate and timely payment of employer taxes. Strong mathematical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of payroll regulations are essential for this role.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll-related payments
  • Calculate of payroll related adjustments (including private health insurance, employee expense recoveries, etc)
  • Review and reconcile payroll reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements
  • Prepare payroll-related reports for management, government agencies as required
  • Post Payroll related accruals
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries and provide timely and accurate responses
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end reports and filings
  • Involvement in the implementation of payroll system upgrades or enhancements
  • Stay updated on relevant employment legislation, tax regulations, and statutory requirements to ensure compliance
  • Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of payroll data and information
  • Support general accounting tasks, such as payroll journal entries and month-end closing activities.
  • Prepare and renew annual Workers compensation insurance cover
  • Prepare Partner income tax returns and liaise with external tax advisors for lodgement with IRAS
  • Prepare and issue employer related statutory tax reporting requirements (eg IR8E, IR8A & IR21)
  • Liaise with Partners on drawings and profit distribution payments
  • Prepare monthly Partner tax retention reconciliations
  • Review employee expense reimbursement submissions for accuracy and compliance with internal policies, ensuring correct cost allocation and routing to the appropriate approver.
  • Prepare weekly payments for employee expense reimbursements.
  • Handle queries relating to expense reimbursement submissions and payments.
  • Prepare and post employeerelated payments.
  • Support cashflow forecasting by providing accurate monthly payroll figures, including bonuses and oneoff payments.
  • Assist with the Accounts & Finance team as & when required

Requirements

. 4 - 6 years payroll processing experience,

. Knowledge of Singapore's labour laws, CPF obligations (employer and employee), personal income tax regulations

. Proven payroll experience with knowledge of Singapore payroll regulations.

. Meticulous, analytical and high attention to detail

. Intermediate level Excel skills

. Good team player

. Preferably has experience in general accounting tasks and processes in a professional services industry
