Accounting & Payroll Specialist (SAP Focus)

About the Opportunity

Join a global leader in specialty chemicals, in a pivotal role ensuring the integrity of both finance operations and employee compensation. They are seeking a meticulous and highly organized individual to manage the full payroll cycle while taking ownership of complex volume rebate and commission schemes. This position is ideal for a proactive professional proficient in SAP who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

You will serve as a crucial link between finance, human resources, and commercial functions by managing highly confidential and time-sensitive tasks:

1. Payroll & Compensation Management

  • Execute end-to-end payroll processing for about 100 employees in Singapore and 50 employeess in East Asia Pacific region (6 foreign countries - work with payroll vendor.)
  • Handle the calculation and timely processing of complex volume rebate and commission schemes.
  • Meticulously maintain and safeguard all contractual documents and master files related to rebates and commissions, including updating contractual parties, product details, and tier rates.

2. Financial Accounting & Compliance

  • Manage accurate accruals for volume rebates and commissions within the SAP system.
  • Oversee the processing of all drop shipment orders.
  • Execute essential month-end closing activities.
  • Support the Finance Manager in budget preparation and forecasting cycles.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of government surveys.
  • Provide comprehensive support for general finance and accounting duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on, relevant experience in finance/accounting, ideally with exposure to payroll (EASY PAY) or complex commission structures.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of MS Office applications (especially Excel) and proven familiarity with SAP is highly preferred.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a meticulous approach to data handling.
  • Work Ethic: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure.
