Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on and reliable finance professional to take full ownership of the Group's accounting and financial management across multiple entities, including Singapore, Japan, the United States, and offshore structures.

This role will be responsible for managing the Group's financial reporting, consolidation, and day-to-day accounting operations, while also building the financial foundation to support future growth and potential IPO readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the Group's accounting and financial reporting function
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements, as well as standalone financials for each entity
  • Lead and oversee daily accounting operations across multiple entities (including the US, Japan, and Singapore), including month-end and year-end closing, as well as ageing analysis
  • Maintain and ensure proper operation of core accounting modules, including GL, AR, AP, and fixed assets, in compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, J-GAAP, and SFRS)
  • Maintain key accounting schedules and supporting ledgers, including revenue, costs and expenses, fixed assets (PPE), loans, intercompany balances, and ROU assets and lease liabilities
  • Lead Group-level consolidation, including multi-currency reporting, intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and foreign currency translation
  • Manage intercompany transactions and settlements, including preparation of supporting documentation (e.g., invoices, agreements) and maintenance of reconciliation and elimination schedules
  • Oversee tax compliance across jurisdictions, including coordination of filing and payment for JCT, GST, sales tax, corporate income tax, and withholding tax
  • Act as the primary point of contact with external auditors and support the audit process
  • Establish and continuously improve the Group's accounting policies, financial processes, and internal controls
  • Build and scale the finance function over time, laying a solid foundation to support future IPO readiness

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA or equivalent qualification is preferred
  • Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm (audit) or in a listed company environment (preferably US-listed) is highly preferred
  • Familiar with accounting practices in the cloud computing and data center industry, with strong knowledge of accounting treatments for ROU assets, lease liabilities, revenue recognition, capitalised costs, intercompany transactions, and various equity and debt instruments
  • Solid experience in financial consolidation and intercompany reconciliation
  • Proficient in the Oracle NetSuite ERP system, with hands-on experience in implementation and optimisation
  • Detail-oriented with strong execution skills able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience liaising with external auditors and supporting audit processes
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken). Ability to communicate in Chinese written and spoken to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders. Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
