An Accounting Manager (Excluding Tax) in Jewellery
leads the daily accounting operations, prepares full-set financial statements, and ensures internal controls and compliance with financial standards
. They manage the finance team, closing processes, and audit tasks, focusing on financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow rather than tax planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Closing: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to produce accurate Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss statements, and Cash Flow reports.
- Operational Accounting: Oversee daily accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
- Supervision & Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely completion of duties.
- Audit & Compliance: Liaise with external auditors and ensure strict adherence to local accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Internal Controls & Budgeting: Strengthen internal controls over inventory, cash, and procurement, while driving annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Asset Management: Own fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and lease accounting.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, analytical abilities, attention to detail, and communication skills.
