Scope
The Accounting Manager, Singapore will serve as the primary finance and accounting lead for the Company's Singapore entity. This role is responsible for end-to-end local accounting operations, statutory compliance, payroll, treasury, and tax matters, while supporting public-company requirements and scalable processes. The position partners closely with global finance, local HR, and engineering teams to support rapid headcount growth and evolving business needs.
Responsibilities
Financial Accounting, Close & Controls
- Maintain complete and accurate books and records for the Singapore entity in NetSuite, in accordance with US GAAP and Singapore statutory requirements.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Support SOX compliance, including internal control documentation, walkthroughs, and audit evidence requests in coordination with global finance
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, approval matrices, and internal control standards.
Procure-to-Pay, Treasury & Assets
- Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring adherence to company policies and approval workflows.
- Review, approve, and process vendor invoices and payments.
- Manage local bank accounts and corporate credit cards, including cash monitoring and reconciliations.
- Own fixed asset accounting, capitalization policies, and depreciation schedules, as well as accounting for local office leases and right-of-use assets.
Payroll & Employee-Related Accounting
- Process local payroll using Workday payroll functionality, ensuring compliance with Singapore labor, CPF, and tax regulations.
- Record payroll, benefits, bonuses, and equity-related accounting entries.
- Partner with local HR to support onboarding, headcount growth, and employee-related financial matters.
Statutory Reporting, Audit & Tax
- Prepare Singapore statutory financial statements, corporate income tax computations, and tax filings.
- Manage the statutory audit, serving as primary liaison with external auditors and advisors.
- Ensure timely and accurate GST and other regulatory filings, as applicable.
Transfer Pricing & Intercompany
- Manage and maintain the local transfer pricing policy in coordination with global tax teams.
- Support annual transfer pricing studies, recommending updates as the Singapore entity scales.
- Monitor intercompany transactions to ensure compliance with arm's-length standards and documentation requirements.
Process Improvement & Strategic Support
- Drive continuous improvement and scalability of accounting processes, systems, and controls, including NetSuite workflows, approvals, and reporting.
- Partner with engineering and local stakeholders to provide financial and operational support in a rapidly growing environment.
- Monitor and track compliance with EDB/EDBI incentive programs, including reporting obligations.
- Assist with local SGX compliance and reporting requirements and other strategic projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA, CA, or equivalent preferred.
- 6-10+ years of accounting experience in a multinational, technology, or semiconductor environment.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore statutory reporting, tax, and audit requirements, with exposure to US GAAP and SOX.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite Workday payroll experience highly preferred.
- Experience supporting intercompany accounting and transfer pricing.
- Comfortable operating in a high-growth,public-company environment with evolving processes.
