Accounting & FP&A Manager (Fast growing start-up)

With a strong entrepreneurial mindset and evolving regional footprint, the company is looking for a commercially minded and hands-on Accounting & FP&A Manager to take full ownership of the finance function in Singapore.
This is more than a traditional accounting role. The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end accounting operations while acting as a trusted advisor to CFO's and business leaders across functions. You will gain exposure to multiple business streams, partnering closely with operational and commercial teams to provide financial clarity, insights, and strategic guidance that drive growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the full spectrum of accounting operations, including GL, AR, AP, fixed assets, month-end and year-end closing, and statutory reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with local regulatory and reporting standards.
- Act as a key finance business partner to operational and commercial leaders, providing financial insights to support strategic and day-to-day decision-making.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO, contributing to financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Drive financial analysis across multiple business units, identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for performance improvement.
- Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and accounting policies to support scalable growth.
- Partner with external stakeholders including auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
- Support corporate initiatives such as new business launches, process enhancements, system implementations, and cross-border projects.
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members (if applicable), building a high-performance finance function.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, leveraging systems and automation to enhance efficiency and reporting quality.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/CA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- 812 years of relevant accounting experience, with prior experience in a managerial capacity.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements in Singapore.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end accounting in a fast-paced or entrepreneurial environment.
- Commercially astute with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on, adaptable, and solutions-oriented, with the ability to operate both strategically and operationally.
- Experience in multi-entity or multi-business environments is highly advantageous.
