Accounting Executive/Assistant Manager (Construction)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Handle Joint Venture (JV) projects, including establishment/setup, profit-sharing calculations and partner reporting
• Assess JV partners financial strength and credit reports, and prepare management reports for decision-making on new projects
• Possess working knowledge of AP, AR and GL with familiarity in full set of accounts
• Prepare monthly management accounts, annual financial statements and variance analysis
• Ensure timely and accurate GST and corporate tax filings
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and statutory requirements
• Support internal controls and process improvements

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry
• Knowledge of the full process for establishing and managing Joint Ventures (JVs)
• Familiar with project-based accounting and cost control
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations (GST & corporate tax)
• Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Detail-oriented, independent, and able to meet tight deadlines
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
