Job Summary
Manage client accounts and deliver comprehensive accounting services including bookkeeping, payroll, GST, and financial reporting while providing technical guidance and supporting client onboarding and ad hoc projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage and administer client accounts including monthly, quarterly, and yearly bookkeeping, group consolidation, payroll processing, MAS reporting, GST reporting, and payment administration
- Prepare client deliverables such as management accounts, reporting packages, schedules, GST registration, MAS and GST returns, consolidation, and draft year-end SFRS unaudited financial statements with Director's Report
- Resolve client accounting, payroll, MAS, IRAS CIT, and GST-related issues to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members to ensure accounts comply with International Financial Reporting Standards
- Identify potential advisory and compliance issues related to taxation, Companies Act, and immigration, and escalate to relevant experts
- Participate in new client prospect meetings and support the client onboarding process
- Execute ad hoc projects and related tasks as required to support business needs
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Accountancy, Degree in Accounting, or ACCA certification
- Minimum 4 years of experience managing full sets of accounts, GST, and payroll processing
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Prior experience in a Singapore CPA firm, business outsourcing environment, audit firm, or as a group accountant would be advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Strong initiative, attention to detail, credibility, and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal, written, oral communication, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is preferred, as the role involves liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients and business partners
- Able to work remotely / from home arrangements
