Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Accounting & Finance Executive to manage the company's day-to-day accounting and financial operations. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and support the overall financial management of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage full or partial sets of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), to maintain accurate financial data
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries to ensure timely and accurate transaction recording
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to verify financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support management decision-making
- Support budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial forecasting to optimize financial planning
- Process staff claims and monitor company expenses to maintain budget control
- Prepare GST submissions and ensure compliance with IRAS regulations to meet statutory requirements
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and government authorities to facilitate audits and regulatory compliance
- Maintain proper accounting records and filing systems to ensure organized financial documentation
- Assist in payroll processing and CPF submissions to ensure accurate employee compensation and statutory compliance
- Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on collections to improve cash flow
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations to uphold governance standards
- Perform administrative and other finance-related duties as assigned to support the finance team's operations
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience (fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds may be considered for junior roles)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, MYOB, or AutoCount
- Knowledge of Singapore GST, CPF, and statutory compliance
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines
