We are seeking a detail-oriented andexperienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will beresponsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuringcompliance with regulations, and supporting day-to-day accounting functions.

Job Responsibilities:

1. General Ledger Management

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.
• Post journal entries for accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and other adjustments.
• Ensure the chart of accounts is consistently and accurately used.

2. Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Assist in producing management reports including budget vs. actual variance analysis.
• Generate custom financial reports for internal stakeholders and external parties.

3. Accounting Operations

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist in maintaining the integrity of the charts of accounts and financial data.

4. Cost-Allocation Management

• Develop and maintain cost-allocation models and methodologies.
• Allocate direct and indirect costs across business units, departments, and cost-centers.
• Ensure allocations are consistent with organizational policy and business needs.
• Prepare regular cost-allocation reports for management and stakeholders.

5. Compliance& Audit

• Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards (IFRS), and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate and support internal& external audits.
• Maintain proper documentation for financial transactions and audit purposes.

6. Process Improvement & Controls

• Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and internal controls.
• Assist in the implementation of financial systems, tools, and best practices.
• Recommend cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.

Job Requirements:

We are seeking a finance professional who possesses a strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting, coupled with excellent analytical capabilities and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate should have:

• A Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a recognized professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent).
• At least 4-6 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, or finance operations.
• Sound understanding of IFRS and core accounting principles, with practical experience in financial statement preparation and month-end closing activities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systems.
• Exposure to audit engagements, group consolidation, or regional reporting environments would be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
• High level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
