Job Description
As the Accountant, you will play a critical role in establishing and managing the finance function for the business.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the full spectrum of accounting activities, including AP, AR and General Ledger
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations between related entities
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants and external service providers
- Support the implementation and enhancement of finance processes, controls and reporting frameworks as the business grows
The Successful Applicant
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline
- 5+ years of accounting and finance experience
- Hands-on experience managing full sets of accounts
- Strong understanding of month-end close, financial reporting and statutory compliance
- Experience working with intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Ability to work independently within a growing and evolving environment
- Comfortable partnering with senior stakeholders and supporting business growth initiatives
- Prior experience within textile or retail or start-up environments will be advantageous
- Exposure to finance systems implementation or process improvement initiatives will be highly regarded
- Proficient in Mandarin as the role requires communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
